Ghana has experienced an astronomical increase in illegal mining within most of our forest and this has depleted most of the natural
forest.Subsistence farming is also one of the factors that sometimes destroys the natural forest. Most farmers in our part of the wolrd would always prefer to cut down trees to cultivate cash crops in order to make a living. These alarming activities deplete the natural forest gradually, depriving wildlife of its habitat.
Wood as a form of fossil fuel is also used widely in our part of the world instead of green energy, the devastating effects of these practices destroys the forest and it does not support the global fight against climate change and global warming.
Our foremost mandate as an organisation is to put protect and pragmatic measures such community sensitization on afforestation, reforestation, Agroforestry and forest plantation in order to restore and conserve the ecosystem. All these measures are employed with research being the pivot.Forest science and research form the basis for an effective ecosystem restoration and conservation.
